To nurture the creativity and natural curiosity of the mentee, to advise on and help refine applications, and to provide a structured plan which will deliver:

1. A strong foundation comprised of fundamental skills.
2. A body of work and portfolio, and the ability to communicate this.
3. An application which will give the mentee the best possible opportunity of getting into their desired architecture school.

In 2016, I set my sights on a future in architecture and the world’s top architecture school. My art teacher recognised the challenge ahead and guided me on a transformative journey, providing me with a well-defined roadmap, assigning tasks that honed my fundamental artistic skills in domains such as life drawing, painting, and rapid ideation, whilst simultaneously nurturing my innate curiosities and creativity through studies.

We met frequently to review my work, exchange ideas, and enhance my presentation skills. After two years of dedicated mentorship, I not only acquired essential skills but also built a standout portfolio that secured offers from top architecture schools, including the globally #1-ranked Bartlett School of Architecture.

Graduating with honours at Bartlett along with a cohort of the most talented, curious and creative friends I had ever made, I realized the profound impact my tutor had on my life. Inspired by her guidance and support, and the impact it had on my life trajectory, I am now driven to provide aspiring architects the same level of mentorship and assistance that I once received, to not only prepare them and help them gain admission to the world’s best architecture schools, but also to equip them with the tools which will allow them to thrive and draw the most from their studies once there.

At first (myself included), many people believe that getting into a great architecture school is about showing you know a great deal about architecture and that you are great at drawing buildings.

This could not be further from the truth, and in fact, it is actually a red flag for many admissions tutors.

The best architecture schools want students who are immensely creative, follow their natural curiosities, and possess incredibly strong fundamental artistic skills that can be applied in the direction of architecture, such as sketching, drawing, painting and sculpting, are excited and passionate to learn about architecture, but crucially, are not bogged down by any preconceived notions about what architecture is.

They are looking for students which are talented, have good fundamental artistic skills, and are malleable and open minded.

Following an initial consultation and commitment, I will put together a programme tailored towards your individual needs that will be comprised of:

• My own personal statements, portfolios, and drawing tasks from my applications to use as an initial reference.
• A structured plan, with key dates and critical milestones for us to work towards to ensure your portfolio, personal statements and drawing tasks create the best possible application.
• A schedule of practice interviews, training you to converse and communicate the intent, ideas and vision behind your portfolio in a calm, clear and with confident manner.
